I want to learn really good magic, illusion and mentalism tricks. I know a few card tricks and and reading books on mind magic and mentalism but I want to know more. I live in the midlands, UK and as far as I can find, there are no magic lessons and any local clubs are members only and don't seem to welcome beginners. Do you think a local magicion would teach me? or what is the best way to progress?

So I'm going to Costa Rica for five weeks and staying with a local family. I was thinking of going on the pill so I don't have to have a period when I'm out there, but I don't really like the idea of messing with my natural cycle. Do you think it would be better to take the pill and not have a period, or to just deal with it normally?

We're looking for somewhere not very touristy, somewhere where we can ride bikes, sunbathe and have a few beers and a barbecue on the beach.

Any suggestions?

Okay, so I've been seeing my boyfriend for almost a year now, but we've only officially been a couple since October. He lives a three hour drive away but comes to see me most weekends. We've had a few problems lately because I have alot of commitments (university, work, sports, family etc) but he doesn't have anything like that and would get really pissed off if i didn't have time to talk to him. Then last night, I was out with some friends and realised that I have feelings for a guy from school, and that I'm not in love with my boyfriend, and I'm beginning to find the relationship a bit of a chore.

But I don't know how to end it. He's told me that he's really into me and stuff, and I know that he likes me a whole lot more than I like him, and I'm his first proper girlfriend. I don't want to hurt him but I know thats inevitable, but he hasn't done anything wrong. He's been a great boyfriend but i just don't feel anything towards him anymore.

I don't really want to wait until he comes to visit me again to break up with him, as it's kinda harsh to make him drive 3 hours here, and then 3 hours home again, and I don't want him to come here for me to pretend that everything is fine all weekend and then dump him just before he's about to leave.

But then at the same time, I don't really want to do it over the phone because that's a bit shady, but I think that's the only option I really have. But what should I say to him?

Basically, my university have taken great pleasure in making life difficult for me over the past few months by making academic malpractice claims against me. Because I have not sat down and accepted the allegations, and have tried to prove my innocence, the uni keeps taking it to higher and higher levels and the process is becoming more stressful and upsetting as time goes on.

I am meant to have another meeting on Thursday, but I can't attend due to work commitments so am writing a statement to be read at the meeting instead. I'm fed up with it and want the process to be over, so I had decided that I was going to accept the allegations, whilst still making it clear that I am only accepting them because I want the whole thing to be over, and not because I am admitting to something I haven't done. But when I mentioned this to my Dad, he said that he didn't think I could do that because it might get me into even more trouble, and they would be pissed off that I hadn't backed down earlier.

Just wondering if I actually can accept the charges and have the whole thing be over with or if I have to carry on for God knows how long, being accused of something I haven't done.

I'd really love to start up a lingerie business. I find it really difficult to find my size in a bra which is practical, fun and comfy and I have enough experience shopping around for lingerie to know a thing or two about it!

But I really have no clue how I would go about getting started. What's the first step? I'd love to have my own brand, so would the best way be to start making stock and selling on ebay to build up funds and a small customer base?

or have you been homeschooled and did you enjoy it or would you have preferred to go to a regular school?

I got a letter from my university today saying that I have been accused of academic malpractice and that sections of my assignment are almost identical to sections of an assignment submitted by another student. I know the other student because she is my friend, and we also went to high school together and are in the same seminars and lectures, and have been taught by the same teachers since we were 9 years old.

We did not work together on this assignment, and neither of us have copied off each other. I am completely knocked for six by this, as it came out of nowhere. I handed the assignment in in mid-march and have only just recieved this letter, and I have been asked to go to a meeting with the Head of the department next week, but that's all the information I have recieved.

I just don't know what to do. There seems to be no way to prove my innocence in all of this. My Dad has suggested getting letters from my old school teachers to say that nothing like this has ever happened before, emailing my tutor for more information and getting advice from the students union.

Will any of this help? Has this happened to anyone else before? I'm really panicking because I don't want to be accused of something that i haven't done and loose my marks from said assignment.

You know when you go swimming, and sometimes you get that funny sharp and uncomfortable feeling in the top of your nose when water goes up your nose?? I have that all the time in my left nostril, and I haven't been swimming. I also get nosebleeds quite frequently (every few days) out of the same nostril.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

There is a group of 6 of us (4 girls, 2 boys) and we are entering a tag rugby tournament at University for charity, but we're stuck for a name!!

4 of us are doing spanish at uni so maybe we could incorporate that somehow?? We kinda want it to be funny or ironic aswell.

I think I may have a gluten sensitivity so I'm going to try andcut it out of my diet for a week and see how it improves my health, but I don't really know what I can and can't eat. I know to check the labels and everything, but what about on homemade food? If someone can briefly sum up what to stay away from, and what I can eat (in a nutshell, not too specifically) it would be a great help

I just read that under the Maastricht Treaty, the UK cannot join the Euro because one of the criterion is two years membership of the European Exchange Rate Mechanism, of which the UK is not a member.

I am a student at a university in England and in May and June next year I will go on a 6 week work placement. I am studying English Language and Spanish and I'm wondering if it would be possible to spend those six weeks in an elementary school in America.

I know that schools in the UK accept students on placement for a number of weeks and I want to know if US schools do the same, and if so, what kind of legal requirements would I have to fulfill?

for example, the phrase 'The weather was hot'. Is the adjective 'hot' the head word?

And how do you distinguish what is a phrase, whether it be a noun phrase, a verb phrase etc?

I have big caramel coloured eyes, which turn yellow in direct sunlight and I have very dark (almost black) hair and pale skin, which tans well and has a kind of olive like tint to it.

Just wondering if these characteristics originate from any particular part of the world.
