Ahhhh ... curious you are? ... hmmm • older I am (ie getting long in the tooth ... ) • wiser I've become (hopefully wiser than when I was shorter in the tooth ... ) • retired I am (a math teacher ...) • married I am (once ... to one ... 40 years now ... a teacher as well) • father I am (to four ... all teachers too ... go figure) • grandfather I am (to seven ... ) • Yoda is one of my "heroes", both as a pedagogue and as a sentient being (even if he is only a movie character) ...
How is it possible for a "person" to earn a 5-digit point count in just one week on Y!A? - part 2?
My recent Q (I will call it part 1; here is the link:
http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201... ),
received responses that provided some interesting (disturbing?) insights into how this might be possible. One responder said that:
“2) Another option is the LEGAL use of 'partners' (NOT multiple accounts). While it may not seem fair to US, it is NOT AGAINST the rules for 2 or more people to SHARE a single account. That way, they can easily answer in shifts - and post a LOT more answers and earn a LOT more points. Still perfectly legal on this site.”
I have to admit I was a bit shocked to see this written, as I was NOT aware that it was, in fact, “LEGAL to use ‘partners' of 2 or more people to SHARE O N E account.”
IF IT IS TRUE, I can now readily see that such a collective of ‘partners’, acting as O N E account, could amass mega-points working 24 / 7 / 365. Normally, I could N O T care any less that such folks with no outside lives would want to do such a thing, but I D O have some concerns on the potential for gaining points at the E X P E N S E of other YA users.
So ...
This raises another couple of (related) Q’s for me (and maybe others as well who are following this...):
Ⓐ First: can this status (the apparent legality of O N E account with M U L T I P L E partners) be confirmed by others who ought to know? (A YA staffer perhaps?)
Ⓑ Second: IF it I S T R U E (that single accounts that are shared by multiple ‘partners’ – may I be so bold as to call the group of multiple ‘partners’ a “collective” or a “clan”? – E X I S T with the “blessing” of Y!A)
THEN...
➊ does EACH “clan” member have a V O T E on any single Q that has been responded to in the name of the collective?
OR
➋ does the “collective” have just O N E vote that represents the (collective) “opinion” of the whole “clan”?
So my fellow YA users “in the know”: E D U C A T E me, please!
Cheers! ☺

[Note to all: I have calmed down a bit since my last attempt a few days ago to getting an answer to this l e g i t i m a t e question. So ... no rant this time, no venting, just a calmly-asked question, seeking T R U T H. I will also take this opportunity to apologize to the Y!A community for my previous inappropriate outburst(s). ☺]
So here it goes:
Without naming specific "persons", this "hard-working" (IMHO) Answerer would like to know how it is even physically possible for O N E “person” :
➊ to acquire a Y!A point count W E L L into 5-digits, in just one week?
and in addition, a related Q (if I may?) ...
➋ to maintain an ... a v e r a g e ... of 3000+ points per week for more than 3 years straight?
Just wundrin'? Is anyone else out there in Yahoo Land as curious as I am?
I would appreciate insights into either or both of these questions. (I know I should probably be asking just one Q, but they are related Q's)
Thanks to all who chose to take the time to respond.
BTW ... I WILL attempt to pick a BA if I can (and not just let it go to a "vote")
Cheers! ☺

OK Part 2 has been deleted. So be it. Having it deleted was probably to be expected, but it only convinces me that SOMEBODY DOES (or groups of somebodies do) NOT like it that I am too close to The Truth!?
Some responders are saying to me in essence:
• “If you are a teacher for 40 years, why don’t you just teach and ‘learn the rules” (of Y!A ie do not “rant” ... contrary to Y!A rules)
• “S~~k it up dude; it’s ‘Just The Way It Is!’”
• “You’re as anal as who you are complaining about”
• “Why let ‘them’ get to you?’
I’m sorry, in all good conscience, that is not an option for me. I can NOT in good conscience ... turn my head and “ignore the problem”. Others have responded positively to this notion so far.
A famous person once said something like this:
“It is not people who do something we hate that we need to fear;
we need to fear those who knew what was done, and DID NOTHING about it!”
So before anyone else complains ...
READ WHAT I HAVE TO SAY FIRST! CAN YOU ANSWER MY VALID Q? ... or not.
If you have an answer or a suggestion, then respond.
If you do not, then carry on with another Q.
BUT ... I MAINTAIN THAT MY Q IS AS LEGITIMATE AS ANYONE ELSE’s Q!!
(Just like the many Q’s I have answered in the past 9 months.)
IFF (IF & ONLY IF) after having read, and contemplated, my equally-valid Q, you deem I that what I am actually asking is Not Worthy of EVERONE @ Y!A’s consideration of my HOPE & DESIRE for CHANGE ...
... THEN (and only then) ask the Y!A ADMIN to delete me again. But I, as a 90% BA Top Contributor, Top Answerer (#10 in Canada), will Quit Contributing to Y!A until I (we ALL actually) get:
• a decent investigation of my assertions (going through the usual channels will NOT – IMHO – produce any effective change), and
––– IF – indeed my assertion proves to be (unfortunately) true (which would indeed be a really sad thing! ☹)
––– THEN
• a report about the findings of that investigation be given to the WHOLE Y!A Community ( a “yay” or a “nay” response fro Y!A Admin is required, and I do not care which it is, and WILL ABIDE by their findings, BUT ensure that the investigation be thorough and deep!), and
• a resolution to the problem with Changes to the Rules of Engagement here at Y!A be made, so that ALL of us can feel that the system is “OURS”, not “THEIRS”!
IF
––– you want the REST of my "musings" in a Part 4 (an edited non-rant re-post of Part 2),
Then
––– say so. I WILL only be too glad to risk my membership in Y!A to serve a "greater good"
Cheers people of Y!A ! ... No .... on 2nd thought ... Scratch my customary salutation!
Instead, I will say: "Resistance is Futile!" ☹

I have recently discovered that some of my Yahoo! Questions "best answer" responses have been showing up in other websites, like:
• "science.mathematics.indie.my"
• "gateway2interest.ws"
• "babyolalaa.com"
• "tentscamplingequipment.com"
• "answer.co5.biz"
• "4answer.net"
• "get-answers-now.com"
• "answersection.com"
• "pcweblog.net"
• "askjot.com"
• "answerdigger.com"
• "budgetminisite.com"
Is this:
• allowed (by Yahoo! Questions)?
• normal? (ie do other Yahoo! Question responders have this happen to them too?)
Who does this? (Someone must take the trouble to do this.)
How do these answers even get to these sites?
Why does this happen?
Thanks for your time to answer these questions! ☺
