Objective for a Resume????

You may say something like this, depending on what feild or goal you have...I am actively seeking a challenging position as a Customer Service Representative and Management. The company I would Prefer is Dynamic and progressive, with growth-oriented position where my creative talents and innovative capabilities can be efficiently utilized.

To be honest with you, I have studied resume writing so much I always hear contradicting advice. I have heard some of the following things:

1. Make your objective focused, but not specific

2. Make your objective as specific as possible to the job

3. Don't even have an objective listed

I like to do things the trial & error way, send various versions of my resume (even to jobs I don't want) just to see which one gets attention. Here are two examples of objectives I have used. One was to a specific job and the other is more vague:

Event Coordinator Job: "To increase tourism and community involvement by coordinating events to enrich the past and future of (name of town here) using creative marketing techniques and effective planning"

All Around: "Obtain a position that allows me to express my creativity & business skills so that I may benefit, as well as grow with your company"
