How does insurance with Verizon work?

I have a blackberry storm with verizon and Ive had insurance since i started my contract. Ive never used it though and my screen is currently cracked. What do I do and will they give me a new phone or a refurbed one or what?

you have to call the asuran and get a new one ad they will send you a refurbised phone and you will have to pay 50 dolla but if its under a year old then you can take it to verizon and give them 50 dolla and get a brand new one right there in the store

You pay the monthly fee and if you need to make a claim you pay the 50 dollar deductible up front and they will send you a phone out within a couple of days.
