Why I am removed from the top contributor status of the Embassy and Consulate category?
I have had actively contributed in answering questions relating to Embassy and Consulate issued. If withdrawn by mistake, I want it back.

Maybe it was not up to their standard...
I thought you could only hold three at a time...guess I was wrong.

I've never really known what formula Yahoo Answers uses to make this determination. Even the top 10 answerers aren't always given top contributor status. Go figure. It seems like it's some sort of mathmatical formula. Maybe you should try sending them an email and ask. If you get an answer, you could share it with everyone else.

There are only 80 active questions on the Embassy and Consulate board, and you may have been mathematically eliminated by the computer in favor of others. Keep on answering questions in your categories and you will get back on there. I have that happen to me frequently in Air Travel, but I don't use one and two word answers as some do.

hello, i think you misunderstand the concept of top contributor.
Replace/Cancel A Top Contributor is a member of the Answers community who has shown that they are knowledgeable in a particular category. Each Answers user can be a top contributor in up to three categories.
The top contributor badge is dynamic —you earn it or lose it depending on your recent participation in a particular category. The more actively you contribute, the more likely you will earn a badge. Just like featured users or category leaders, it's another way to feature community members who might otherwise be overlooked.
I used to often see you on embassies and consulates but? not lately. so? therefore, you must continue to answer on E/C in order to retain your top contributor badge, but if you go elsewhere and respond more often than in E/C ,than you do loose your badge, but get it elsewhere.
nothing to worry about,
I too have more interests and contributor elsewhere, but no longer mentioned under my name(pseudo)
just continue to answer as you did before and you will resume your top contributor status.(only 3 categories) at one time.
