Is Gaines Adams a bust?

So far he is and I am a big Bucs fan. He just only tries to rush off the edge with his speed and most of the time the OT will just push him out of the play. He needs to develop another move either a bull rush or a spin move.

Looking back, you got to go with Adrian Peterson. Even though they had Cadillac Williams, he had injury problems.

Man give the dude some time. You have to wait at least 3 years to consider a player a bust or not.

Sure, there were better players that the Bucs could have taken, but at the time how were they supposed to know who was gonna be good or not? Plus, Adams hasn't been that bad. Wait a year or 2 before you call or consider him a bust

Looking at his stats, I think they are a bit low for the first DE off the board in a draft, but you cannot expect him to get the same stats as Mario Williams or someone who can pass rush AND play the run. Gaines Adams is through and through a pass rusher, and after getting 12.5 sacks in his sophomore season, I think he's definitely on the upside of his career. The Bucs made the right decision.

I would not say that he is. He done some good things last year and should have an even better year this year. The defensive system they have gone to is the same one that Jason Taylor had so much success with. I think that Jimmy Wilkerson (now named the DE starter on the opposite side) will be a huge help to Gaines Adams.

No but he ain't that bad give him one more year then see where we go from here.
