Are NFC East rivalry games the best rivalry games off all?

All NFC East rivalry games are extremely fun to watch. I dont think any other division can say that.

Contrary to what many have said, NFC East games are the best rivalry games of all. It doesn't matter what there records are, when anyone of the teams in the NFC East play against each other it will be a good game. This is the only division were you can say every team in the Division literally hates each other.

    I'd disagree.

Add up the total number of wins in each division and here's how they rank:

    AFC South: 32

    NFC East: 28

    AFC East: 27

    NFC North: 27

    AFC West: 25

    NFC South 25

    AFC North 24

    NFC West 19

The AFC South holds the most wins by a total of 4 games over the next closest division. There isn't hardly that much difference between the top and bottom of the rest of the divisions in the NFL. Then you have to look at each conference's weakest team and see how many wins they have. The AFC South has the division where their lowest ranked team has more wins than any of the other divisions' lowest ranked teams. The Texans set it at 6 and they were in the play-off race up until recently.

I think the AFC South easily wins. Houston, the bottom ranked team in the AFC South was at # 2 in the AFC South for the longest time and gave the perfect Colts all they could handle twice. Houston also knocked off the Bengals who were # 2 in the AFC up until this weekend. The Titans won 5 in a row and they also won this week. And the Titans had the best record in the NFL last year. Jacksonville regularly makes it to the play-offs and they are in the lead for the AFC wildcard race.

Top to bottom for the last several years, the AFC South has been the toughest division in the NFL. Heck, a couple years ago they got 3 of their 4 teams in the play-offs. That's pretty good, considering that is the most any division can get into the play-offs.

Then look at how the AFC South did this weekend:

    Indianapolis beats Denver 28-16

Tennessee blows out St. Louis 47-7...way better than the Saints did against St. Louis

    Houston blows out Seattle 34-7

The only AFC South team that lost this weekend was Jacksonville. And they are in the lead for the AFC Wildcard race. Only the AFC East can boast a better winning record this weekend.

Outside of college, possibly, although it's tough to make a case for any greater pro rivalry game than Packers-Vikings, especially now with the Favre factor.

Unfortunately, the NFC East games also lose a little luster these days because they are pretty irrelevant. The Giants were a force to be reckoned with 2 years ago, but right now it looks like it will be a while before the division produces anyone with the capability to go deep into the post season. The Eagles are probably the most likely to, but the Skins, Boys and Giants just don't have the juice to get past the Vikes, the Saints, the Cards or any contender from the AFC.

EDIT: Kyle, I said the Giants were a force to be reckoned with 2 years ago. However, now, they are not.

I would throw them in contention with the NFC North and AFC North those are the bug rivalry conferences.

Paul I would like to point out the 2007 Giants to prove your point wrong

    And I'm a Packer fan
