Lunch ideas to bring to work?
I have gone through 2 recent lifestyle changes recently, and want some simple ideas for bringing lunch to work.
I used to go home at lunch and eat something like a sandwich with processed meat, or go to a restaurant. But now I need to start bringing lunch ot work.
I also am trying to reduce cholesterol but not by increasing calories.
What ideas do you have for what to bring for lunch? We have a refrigerator, microwave and toaster at work.

I usually bring leftover dinner. I put it in the fridge when I get to work and pop it in the microwave at lunchtime. I do keep a few frozen dinners on hand for those days when there are no leftovers. I like Lean Cuisine and Weight Watchers Smart Ones. Healthy Choice has some very nice ones, too.
Soup, salad, and sandwiches are all great (and easy) choices. Just watch what your putting into your salad and onto your sandwich. Your meats should be lean, go light on the cheese (or skip it altogether!), load it up with veggies, and skip the mayo. Use mustard instead! That will give you some nice added flavor, without upping the fat content.
Bon Apetit!

You could still make sandwiches in the morning and bring them to work and keep them in the fridge. Sandwiches are usually a healthy choice. I bring a lot of soup to work too because there's so many different flavors to choose from and they're all pretty healthy.
TV dinners might be good as there's a lot of different types of healthy food and name brands to choose from. I've never really been a big fan of TV dinners though myself because they all have that "TV dinner" taste to them if you know what I mean. But a lot of people do like them and it would help add some variety to your meals.

Leftovers. Salads-chef, greek, cobb, pasta. Bread, cheese and fruit. Crudites, crackers and hummus. Soup in a thermos. Packet beans and rice with some fresh salsa to add. Frozen dinners as a last resort.

Salad, Fruit, chicken sandwich(make healthy options like whole grained bread etc.), trail mix and so much more options are out there. Just make sure that you get enough proteins, dairy, etc so you can have enough energy at work. Hope this helps :)
