Walked out of my job?
I was supposed to work friday and i haven't shown up because i really hate it there but didn't really know how to quit at the time(but now i do). but what should i do? what happens if i try getting another job? will they have to contact my recent job? I'm 16, job was Cheddar's, and it was my first job; worked there for about 2 and a half months. I was although one of the best bussers, relied on a lot.

you quit with out notice, not good. Your age is in your favor. I would claim that your next job is your first job ever. I don't condone lying, but I know that teenagers make mistakes. These mistakes should not follow them for the rest of their lives if they learned a lesson. Because they have no references to check chances are your next prospective employer will not find out. Don't make a habit of this. Next time, if you feel you can't work there anymore for what ever reason, put in two weeks notice, suck up the 2 weeks and work it, then you have a work reference that you can use and left on good terms of your own accord. Also keep in mind, at 16 you will probably not find a job you love. It is only a matter of learning responsibility and a work ethic, no matter what you are doing, other people are depending on you to be there.

Oh it's going to reflect badly on you no matter how much of a great worker you were to your past employer.
Consider my story: One of my past manager actually contacted my previous supervisor for reference check. I was a student then and re-applied to the same company but different department. I left the prior position because my supervisor told a regular employee to keep an eye on the student assistants, which I found out through that employee. I was so pissed off that I put in my two week notice. I was a hard worker and very reliable--my supervisor knew that too. When I confronted her, she denied the doing and was, you can say, mad that I am leaving after what she had done for me back when several students were laid off and she took me back on board.
Guess what that supervisor told the manager who did the reference check for the latter position I applied for? The supervisor stated that I was unreliable and all these other stuff that would reflect me poorly. Good thing this manager hired me before she got the response from my past supervisor, otherwise I would be turned down for the job (per the manager). I always thought kindly of my past supervisor and put her down as a reference, now I know better.

It really does not matter how good you were at your job. You spoiled all of that when you walked out without notice.
I would NOT put this job on your future applications. Hopefully they will not do a background check.
Of course, now you are applying as a brand new employee without any experience.
In the future, keep a job AT LEAST 6 months, and quit properly.

Yes, they will contact your most recent employer, and your most recent employer will be truthful in telling the caller that you are unreliable and immature. You need to apologize to your current employer and do the job you were hired to do.
