Trouble with media player >"<?
I used Utorrent to download some movies, when i extracted the zip folder, all the files were IFO, BUP, VOB and I coouldn't watch them by using Window Media Player, Window Classic Player, Realplayer, DivX Plus Player, MKV player, etc. The system kept informing that it needed some kind of "compatible program" or "DirectShow Filters" 8-} I downloaded those additional programs and installed => It still didn't work LOL! Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp me please [-O<

IFO, BUP, VOB are supposed to be saved within DVD disc. Are they in the folder for VIDEO-TS and AUDIO-TS? If so you can easily use a media player that supports playback DVDs. DAPlayer is recommended since it is free, DVD/Blu-ray/HD video supported, and built-in more that 400 A/V codec.
Otherwise, if you do not like VOB this media format, you can convert it to more popular formats with WinX DVD Ripper Platinum. (Google and get it)

Hi, I would try vlc media player on the files first, links below. If you would rather try a codec pack add some additional details and I will edit this and recommend a good pack and walk you through installing it.
With vlc you wouldn't have to mess around with codecs and directshow filters because they are strictly built in. There is also a chance the files could be damaged beyond playing, i've had this happen to me in the past after unzipping files.
You have downloaded files necessary for a dvd. I checked all my players that I have installed and they all support vob and ifo, they are vlc, kmplayer, and gom player. The bup file is just a backup file that a dvd player will attempt to read if it fails to read the ifo file, the bup file is required for a dvd disk.
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (Official site for vlc media player by videolan. However the latest version may not be very stable. See oldapps site directly below this for the an older version.)
http://www.oldapps.com/VLC_Player.php (You can get all previous versions of vlc here as well as other past popular programs since the current version is giving some people problems. I am on vlc version 1.0.3 without any problems.)
After installing vlc: open vlc - click on tools and then preferances - under interface type in the dropdown list choose "complete look with information area" - at bottom click save and close it out. Reopen and now it should be in full view. Click tools and preferances - scroll down til you see "association setup" to the right - Here you can manage vlc file associations. this is for version 1.0.3, not sure about newer versions.
I hope this helps. Add some additional details if you would rather try a codec pack or another player and I will edit this. Good luck!
