Should i get more on my tax refund?

I have used TaxSlayer.com for years. I have gone through and filed my taxes using only my W-2 to get the amount of my refund.  Then i go through it again, adding donations, cash and non-cash, mileage for charity, work uniform expenses, and sales tax on 2 vehicles that i purchased in 2011.

Should the amount of my return increase once adding the other items?

Probably not, since the deductible part of those would most likely not have added up to your $5800 standard deduction.  You get EITHER the standard or itemized deductions.

ONLY if you qualify for itemization of your deductions......which you obviously don't.
