I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Contrary to what your favorite TV infomercial to buy the latest exercise fad diet/equipment, there's no such thing as spot reduction.
Your body burns fat. That's all. It gathers it from everywhere. Your body will use whatever energy it has to use. There's no difference in the type of fat since it's all the same.
Muscle mass however will lead you to believe differently. Say you have a fat abdomen, so you do nothing but abdominal exercises for a month. By the end of that month, you'll appear thinner and your abdomen will be harder. Does that mean you reduced your fat in that area specifically? No. It just means that you built muscle under that fat. So when you touch that area, it feels harder. You'll probably notice that you also lost size in the other parts of your body where fat is commonly stored(Thighs, chest, arms, face). But when you touch it, it'll feel just like fat. Why? Because you never exercised those areas, so there's little muscle under there. This gives the impression that spot reduction works; it doesn't.
