camera digital canon ixy 210f does not turn on the power?

i have a camera digital Canon ixy 210f. because it was out of battery, i took a battery of mobile phone to use for camera digital. results were  it did not start up of power . can this error fix ? how do fix ? thanks

How to fix it? Recharge the battery. The original one. If you don't have the original one, go out and buy one.

I have same problem. After using mobile phone battery, i realized that its  (+) and (-) poles are different from original battery :(
