Creationists - do you consider a house cat and a lion to be separate 'kinds' or the same 'kind'.?

Also, do you consider monkeys and chimpanzees to be separate 'kinds' or the same 'kind'.

It is highly likely that lions and tigers are the same kind, and also the other great cats. House cats might be part of this kind. Research is currently being undertaken to better understand the boundaries of each kind.

Similarly with apes and monkeys. More research is needed.

@CRR "Kinds" is not a sceintific definition of anything.

Genus perhaps, family, species. Try using these, of course it's just an interpretation brought on by modern science, a theory that has grown to counteract another one that is genuine, kinda like a conspiracy you know?

Regardless, all cats are part of the same family (I believe, might want to double check that) and the definition of species is up for debate, but not in the way that creationists are taking it. Species implies that the organism in question is derived from the same common ancestor. But by that definition, my family that originated from scotland and iceland (im a viking of sorts) could be considered a species when compared to a family that originated in australia. THAT is the debate about species, how to better define it to combat those situations, at least that's my understanding.

Finally, i think creationists refer to all cats as one "kind" because then it is easier (still not easy) to believe that significantly smaller number of animals that boarded the ark.

Do creationists know chimpanzees are apes, not monkeys? Do creationists know anything?

I like how all the Christians are evading the question. Its your story book Christians not ours; stop evading it.

@ALL HAIL JESUS! : You fail at science.

I don't know. What I know is that top biologists today dispute the definition of the term species.

C C, I did answer. I also provided the asker with further food for thought. Finally, look who's talking.

C C, you sound rather desperate. What I wrote is truthful. I know you don't like it, but you don't have to.

What are you talking about? God created the universe. You can call the monkey whatever you want. Doesn't change anything.
