Statistically men, in general, are healthier and live longer lives when they are are married. That's been proven to be true for years.

Anything that reduces psychological distress in people will promote better health. I think legalizing same-sex marriage will prove to be a good thing.

Men live longer if they find a good mate and don't cheat, neither of which is likely with same sex mariage, but the spread of sexually transmitted diseases will be slightly reduced (for the whole population) if homos are loyal to their mate.
