internet download manager(IDM) problem? please help!!!?

Question

I just already installed the entire program. when i go to youtube and play a video, the IDM download icon(blue color) appears in the corner of the video frame, but the frustrating part is that when i press that, a message pops up and prevents me from downloading the video, as it is shown in the uploaded image

there is also another problem. i cannot open the IDM icon on the desktop and it gives me this message:
"windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"

any way, any help is really appreciated because this is an essential program

It can may be possible any program file missed of IDm installed in c drive.
second thing if you are using trail version of IDM then It has been expired.
third IDM trail version has been expired then you can never be installed this software again for the same operating system.

Try to download with some other downloader.
I think the problem maybe with this particular one.
This way you can compare where the problem lies.

close first your idm on the system tray and your google chrome.

go start, search for cmd. right click on it, choose run in administrator.

then type this

SFC  /SCANNOW

(hit enter) just wait until it finish
then rerun the program
