How can i not see what my friends like or share on facebook?

If you do not want to see what your friends like or share on their wall, do not mark them as close friends or family members this way you will not receive frequent notifications from them, and other way is-

In order not to see your friend's FB activity, go to that friend's Timeline, click Following (= you'll see them in your News Feed), so it changed to Follow.

To see their updates, you can either go to their Timeline or you put them to one of your friend's list that you can set what kind of updates you want to see in that list. (how to: open the list you created, click Manage List, then click Choose Update Types)
