For people who think gay sex is a sin and a choice, I have a question:?

The holy books say it is a sin. This is a fact that they all say this. That being said ALL of the holy books were written by homophobic men.

I know of no person who would chose a gay lifestyle, it is getting easier for our gay friends but it has been an uphill battle to say the least. I was born heterosexual, I could not IMAGINE society trying to force me to be with someone I was not attracted to. Gay people were born that way, there is no choice involved

Why do you slur gays and suggest they are victims of some sort of genetic abnormality and have no free choice?

Christian leaders from around the world have clearly stated their opposition to the "victimization or diminishment" of gays and lesbians, saying demonizing and persecuting them was "totally against Christian charity and basic principles of pastoral care".

Both the current Pope and Cardinal Wilfrid Fox Napier the Arch Bishop of Durban have said gays should not be persecuted and should be helped!

Taking one sin to indulge in intolerance, hatred, bigotry, homophobia and persecution will never be acceptable in the eyes of God!

The Mormons poured millions into forcing through prop 8 in CA: to ban gay marriage. In August 2010 the court held that to be unconstitutional. On 15 June 2011 the San Francisco court upheld that decision because it violates the constitutional rights of citizens. On 7 February 2012 the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals struck the California law again finding that the California state constitution banning same-sex marriage violated principles of due process and equal protection under the law.

The court found that the ban violates equality laws to target a minority group and withdraw a right that it possessed, without a legitimate reason for doing so. Proposition 8 serves no purpose, and has no effect, other than to lessen the status and human dignity of gays and lesbians in California. The constitution simply does not allow for laws of this sort.

The Supreme Court upheld the early court decision. Thus anyone married in any state or country where gay marriage is legal is legally married in all American states and most countries in the world! The Supreme Court will rule later this year and is expected to legitimize gay marriage thriught America and strike out all the unconstitutional anti gay state legislation!

Gay marriage is now legal virtually everywhere and that will be marriage and not civil partnership!

In the UK The intolerance, bigotry and homophobia from Christians resulted in it being classed as a hate crime with severe sentences. It has led to the government framing legislation which if enacted will replace "Civil Partnership" with full marriage. France, New Zealand, Spain and ten other countries have legalized gay marriage and others have commenced legislating to do so!

Wanting to have sex and having sex is totally two different things though. Think of this analogy: For example, one day a poor man wakes up and he feels really bad so he has no money. Over lunch, he develops the idea to rob his local bank to cure his money ills. While driving to a bank he begins to cry and his conscience overwhelms him and he aborts the mission to rob the bank. He couldn't go through with it. In this story we can see it is dramatically different to have a compulsion to do an act, and to actually commit an act. I am not saying that these gays have lusts towards the same sex is sinful. It is not necessarily. It is just an idea in the brain. But when they act on these desires is when it becomes a sin. the would be bank robber committed no mortal sin. If the man would have went through with the bank robbery that is what made it a sin. Just like gayness is not a sin until they fornicate.

Even a heterosexual man can have impure thoughts about other women than our spouse, but most of us know it is a sin to carry out these deeds.

Technically, I CAN choose to do anything I want...including have sex with anyone of any gender. The attraction isn't a choice, the act is. So what you really did was ask a technically deficient question which shows no forethought of logical sequence to reduce the desired answers to an echo chamber for your lack of understanding, because, yes, I CAN choose that, but I won't.

Can you choose to want to? Well, yes, but you would have to work at it. Think of it as an "acquired taste." If you choose to reinforce certain behaviors, then you can grow to desire something which you did not previously desire.

This is a basic fact of human psychology, by the way, and isn't restricted to, orexcludedfrom, matters of sexuality.

The bible says ALL sexual conduct that is outside marriage is a sin. Why do the homosexuals think that their sex deserves so much attention in this issue. It is almost as if indifference offends them more than hatred and they seek to make people CHOOSE to hate them
