Kaspersky internet security or Norton internet security?

Kaspersky. By miles. Norton is the bane of my life. Its such a pain in the ***, my firewall actually treats it as malware. Norton is a resource hog, slows everything else down when scanning, is near impossible to remove cleanly if you decide you don't want it anymore and is packed with crap that no reasonable person will ever need. I use free security software with better results than Norton. Kaspersky is really good security but I'm tight for money and begrudge paying for security when I can get the same results with a few creative combinations of free software.

Tests earlier this year in two UK computer magazines places Kaspersky in the number one position and Norton some way down the list.
