Do I have a sleeping problem?

I've been falling asleep around 1 or 2 A.M. (weekdays) and 3 or 4 A.M. on weekends these days... I know the simple solution would just be to sleep early but I can't. I need to be watching a show on Netflix or a youtube video and fall asleep while watching, in other words, I can't just close my eyes and fall asleep; I need to fall asleep while watching something. Especially on the weekends, for example when I sleep at 4 a.m, I wake up at 2 p.m. or something the next day and that's 10 hours of sleep... When I wake up after that 10 hour sleep, I still feel tired and dead and end up staying in bed all day, not doing homework, just lying down and watching my shows... What is wrong with me?

This is a very frustrating problem for a lot of people, I am glad you are reaching out for some support.

Here are some tips to help with getting to sleep and a restless night.

•Thinking of things that relax you such as listening to rhythmic waves of the ocean, nature sounds, and spa music.

•If after 15-20 minutes, you are not able to sleep, read a book.

    •Avoid watching the clock.

-Remembering the things that you are thankful for in your life, that can be calming and uplifting. When we feel happier, we are able to sleep better.

    - Try drinking warm milk

    - Practice breathing. Change your focus to your breathing instead of thinking about not being able to sleep, if your pattern starts affecting your mood or performance, talk to your doctor.
