I'm freaking out because I'm doing so bad this semester?
I am a freshman in a private university (it's a very easy school to get into) and I am in my second semester right now. It's over in about 3 weeks and I already think I'm getting 3 B's and 2 A's. My first semester I got all A's and I managed to get a 3.94 GPA. I'm also planning to transfer to a better school (NYU) and I really wanted to maintain a 3.8 gpa and up so that I'm confident I'll get into my dream school but now I'm not so sure. Some of my professors this semester are definitely not my favorite and B's will ruin my gpa and i've tried very hard this semester... If I got all A's last semester with a 3.94 and 3 B's and 2 A's this semester what will my GPA be? Please try to estimate it for me because I'm honestly freaking out.

Let's assume that you took 15 credits last term and are taking 5 3-credit classes this term and that you actually are earning A's and B's, no + or - grades (if you had all A's last term your GPA would be 4.00, not 3.94).
Then with 2 (6 credits of) A's and 3 (9 credits of) B's, your GPA would be:
((15 * 3.94) + (6 * 4.00) + (9 * 3.00))/(15 + 6 + 9)
= (59.1 + 24.00 + 27.00)/30
= 110.1/30
= 3.67
Depending on the values your school gives to +/- grades, that's either barely above an A- or just below it.
If I'm wrong about either the number of credits for a given category or the value of grades earned this semester, you should replace the number I used (and possibly add something to the top line), then recalculate. Or just ask again, with more details. Note that the number of credits for a particular grade/GPA appears twice in the top line: once in the numerator and once in the denominator, so it has to be changed or added twice.
I hope this helps. And good luck with NYU.

3 Bs and 2 As are perfectly good grades for freshman year. Don't be silly. Your GPA will be a 3.7, which is JUST FINE.
Improvement counts, and most people do improve after freshman year. Just try to get your grades up in the first semester of sophomore year.
Note, however, that selective schools take relatively few transfers, and some take none. It's not a matter of grades alone either.
