I got a 1tb hard drive for my ps4 it is compatible but it wont install the update that I downloaded from playstation website.?

Make sure the file you downloaded is about 800 - 900 megs. That's the full install for the firmware.

If it's only 100 - 200 megs, then it's only the update pack from previous firmware releases, and not what you want.

If you've installed a new hard drive in your PS4, you need to reinstall the firmware.

Download the full version - NOT the update. Also be sure you create the folders exactly as instructed, otherwise the PS4 won't find the firmware to install.
