    1. no an im a cook. nobody has burn proof hands i have a higher tolerance of hot items then others who don't cook for a living but thats about it. why? because some kitchens are ghetto and do not provide any towels to grab said hot items. i used to work at a japanese restaurant like this and they kept telling me why am i so slow and it's like mfer you put the microwave on the highest shelf where i can't even see the liquids that are scorching hot plus the dish we put it in retains heat so when you grab it the dish is hot as well. we used a microwave to heat up sauces. not sure why guess the owner was lazy to heat it up on the stove.

    2. no i cut onions and mix powdered wasabi ( which is actually just horseradish due to the cost of actual wasabi ) burns my eyes and nose. one of the chefs at my culinary school said onions make you cry because your knife is dull. i don't believe that bs. i think onions make you cry because we tend to over grow them for size. you cut things like shallots which are smaller you don't have the issue. i've cut many onions before the bigger they are the more likely they have that affect. idk if this is true but that is what i see.

    3. yes. if i touch it with my bare hands it burns. we cut jalapeno's and were supposed to wear gloves of course for sanitation issues but working as a cook wearing gloves is not an easy taste might as well tie my damn hand behind my back. it eventually stings and starts to burn for a while. i can't really eat spicy foods either. makes my butthole hurt when i poop and sometimes gives me diarrhea.

Todd. The only thing I do in the kitchen is, make a 6 week veg stew and boil eggs. ;-) Argh! I wash up. ;-)

Years worth. Luckily, my skin heals well. Not noticeable.

I don't do chilies. All that spicy shxt is for Mexicans, Thais, Indians and Filipino cuisines.
