I took AP Calculus BC last year. My school doesn't offer any higher math class so now I'm trying to find some textbooks and learn some Calculus myself, so what should I study? Some people say I should find a textbook that teaches Multivariable Calculus, or Cal 3 as it's called in college, is that what's next on the list after the materials covered in AP Cal BC?

I've never really seen other ethnic groups mentioned when people talk about Jim Crow laws and the separate but equal policy. There certainly weren't just black and white people in the US, so how were other groups treated? Were they treated as "colored" too?

My uncle just bought a new Samsung LED monitor. When it's displaying a white image, like a word document for example, I can see flickering stripes across the screen. It's almost like a CRT monitor refreshing the image. Viewing other stuff is fine though, the stripes are only visible with a white image. I've never seen that on any monitors I've owned. Is this normal or we just got a defective unit?

Some people say Medicaid covers until I'm 19, some others say 21. So which one is right? I live in Virginia btw.

My monitor has only a DVI and a VGA port, my pc only has a VGA and an HDMI port. I want to buy a DVI to HDMI cable to connect them. So would that give me a better image quality than VGA or no?

I've been looking for a surgeon around the DMV area that accepts Medicaid (Anthem Health Keepers Plus), but can't find anyone. I've called many and they said they didn't do hernia repair. Does anyone know any doctor that accepts Medicaid? I tried using the website but still haven't found anyone.

Sometimes while I'm watching a clip on youtube or other sites, and I click to jump to another part of the clip, and the computer just freezes. Everything freezes. I have to reboot to get it to work again. I don't know what's wrong with it. It happens like once every 2 3 days. Is it a flash problem? I already removed flash and reinstalled it a million times.

Just updated to Firefox 14, and flash is getting weird. If I open 2 tabs and both have some kind of flash contents, if I switch from tab 1 to tab 2, then switch back and tab 1 will just show tab 2's contents, only the flash part. Like if I open 2 youtube videos and switch between the 2, one might just get stuck with the other's screen. Only disappears when I minimize and open it again. What's wrong with it?

The NIC card on my desktop suddenly stopped working. It says "no internet connection" and when I do ipconfig, it says "media disconnected". I tried plugging the same cable to my laptop and it worked just fine. I was trying to install Ubuntu along side with Windows, not sure if it has anything to do with this. I already installed Windows again and still can't have internet. Does anyone know what's wrong with this?

p/s: I suspect it's the NIC card because the light on the back of the PC doesn't come on anymore.

I'm considering Chinese or French for next year, but I really don't know what to take. Many people say Chinese is more widely spoken throughout the world, other people say French is. And is French more helpful and useful in the medical field? Or not really?

I just like Chinese because it looks cool with the script. Don't really know how hard it is to learn to write.

I'm proficient with both English and Vietnamese, so I think both Chinese and French are kinda familiar with me. What do you guys think? Should I go for Chinese or French?

I'm planning on buying an unlocked iPhone. The official Apple website sells the unlocked version at around $600, but there's a factory unlocked version sold on Amazon at around $800. What's the difference between those two? I'll be using my phone on Tmobile btw.

I've been having braces for 14 months now, and my ortho told me that he would take the one on my upper jaw out first, and my lower jaw has to wait a little bit more. I thought normally they would take them all off at the same time. Does it sound normal?

I just wonder why many people choose Verizon instead of other carriers like att, Tmobile or Sprint. Verizon sure offers more expensive plans and the high-end devices are rarely sold with lower prices. So my question is for those who are using Verizon or have intention to switch to Verizon, what does Verizon have that makes you pay such high prices?

My mom sent a check to pay for her credit card, but she forgot to put the detachment found in the statement into the envelop, so she only sent the check to them. I think when it gets there, it's not gonna get proceeded. How can my mom cancel the check that she sent to them? Please answer me asap, thanks!

I applied for a credit card at Old Navy, and I just activated the card 10' ago. But why does it show up that I have a current balance of $21.76? I haven't even used it yet, just activated. Is it some kind of activation fee?

Okay, I'm in Chem HN, and I have to submit ideas for the Science Fair Project. Does my idea have to be "completely new" and nobody has never thought of that before? I see a lot of Science Fair Project ideas on Internet, so I'm wondering if I can use them or not.

Cot(x)Cos(x) = Cos(x), solve the equation and find all solutions in the interval [0 , 2pi).

Okay, so I got Cot(x) = 1, and the answers I got are x = pi/4 and x = 5pi/4.

But the answers on the back of my textbook also include pi/2 and 3pi/2, which I find ridiculous because at those 2 points, the cotangent function would be undefined. Is it me or the book wrong?

I'm in high school now, and I'm taking Driver Ed in PE 10. I got a permit already, and my teacher said after I complete the course, he's gonna give me a card and I can take the behind the wheel test. But when I learn to drive, do I need to sign up for a driving school or just have anyone teach me, e.g., my dad or my brother? I live in Virginia btw.

I want to buy a mp3 player, and I'm considering the Apple iPod Touch, the Zune HD (or Zune mp3 player) and the Sony A Series Walkman. I know the walkman series from Sony is very good, but wondering if the other two have better sound quality. So which one do you guys think produces the best sound quality?
