So, my wife and I meet with a banker today regarding an SBA loan that I hope to soon file. We are both fresh out of college and we hope to acquire an assisted living facility that we have been looking at. This is something we have always wanted. My wife has a degree in Child and Family development with an emphasis in family services, and she has been interning at another assisted living facility for the past few months. Our interests make us great business partners for this opportunity. She has a desired degree, she will be getting her assisted living administrator certificate (she will be one of that 4 have this in the state I live in), and she has learned a lot over the past few months. I have an engineering degree and I know I can handle the technical, analytical, and other various business elements of the company. What are my chances of getting this loan from him? and if he does file the loan, what are the odds the SBA will approve the loan?

So today I learned the company I was interested in purchasing already has someone interested in it. The person has applied for the small business loan and it is being processed. Is there anything I can do to try to acquire the business or is it too late?

So i am graduating college in May (2014). I have accepted a job in my field as a Design engineer. I have recently gotten engaged, and she is going to move with me but does not have a job yet. Would it be considered ok for me to ask for an increase in starting salary since I will be supporting two people for awhile? Will the company only care that they have already offered me the competitive salary and not care about the situation? Or will the company just say that it was my decision to get engage and that pretty much it is my own problem?

I enjoy the creativeness and working on engineering projects; however, I like the idea of being a cop. I cannot think of any good combination or something that would give me a touch of both worlds. Is there anything anyone can think of? thanks!

I like everything about engineering but how math focused it is. I like the creative thinking and critical thinking but I just do not want to have to solve some complex math problem to get there. any suggestions?

I was asked to create a website for someone, however, I am not experienced creating websites. I do not know any computer languages such as html or java so I need a program that can help me create a great looking website without having to input computer languages. I know publisher 2007 had a website feature. does publisher 2010 have a feature to create a website and if so where is it located? are there other programs you might recommend that are better than publisher to create a great website without having to input computer language?

What are some tips to target the older community in my area?

I am a junior and will probably graduate In a year and a half. The only work experience I have is life guarding which I have done for te past three years. I have tried to get an internships but it is very difficult with all of the competition. What are some tips to land an internship? Do you think it is too late to land an internship for this summer? What are some companies in Georgia that offer some civil engineering internships? If I am unable to get an internship how difficult will it be to land a job upon graduating? I have a 3.78 gpa which is in my favor but I feel that is all I have going. Please help!
