So... I have a 15" Late 2011 MacBook Pro, which should easily be able to dominate the game on ultra. However, even when I play on medium settings... I average about 90 FPS but every like 20 seconds there is a split second stuttering where the FPS drops to about 2-3. With these occurrences, the game is nearly unplayable and I'm wondering what the heck is going on with my brand new laptop.

So, I just bought Batman: Arkham City and I have room in my budget for one more game this fall and I've narrowed it down to two main options, Battlefield 3 and Uncharted 3. Uncharted 3 MP really doesn't interest me at all, but the set-pieces in the singleplayer look absolutely incredible just like they did in Uncharted 1 and 2. My main worry about Uncharted 3 is that it won't have a long enough campaign to have it be worth the $60 that I would drop on it. Battlefield 3, on the other hand, I'm in only because of the MP, and will probably log countless hours playing. One of the things I'm worried about as far as Battlefield 3 goes is the fact that the PS3's measly 24 players won't be enough to keep the action going and fresh as it does on the 64 player PC version. There's no question that I will get more enjoyment per hour from Uncharted 3, but as far as the value factor goes, what should I choose?

Hey guys, I had never seen iBuyPower before I started shopping around for a new gaming desktop. I found one at Costco with ridiculous specs for the price: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=1...

It's no question that the specs are good, but is the brand name good? I don't want it to break like 3 days after I buy it and have the customer service just blow me off. If not, what are some better options for the gaming desktop market that have the price-to-quality ratio similar to this one.

So, the Giants have been struggling mightily of late, dropping out of first place by 3 1/2 games after the walk-off by the Braves and the Diamondbacks coming back against the Phillies in the ninth. Their offense has been struggling mightily, especially since they have suffered the loss of Carlos Beltran. The Diamondbacks are red hot, and they don't show any signs of slowing down, their offense is dynamic and effective. As a Giants fan, I don't think they are going to be able to pull it off and it really disappoints me this year was as promising as promising can be. Thankfully, there's a lot of hope next year, with Posey and Sanchez coming back and freeing ourselves from that dreadful Tejada contract. I don't know what the free agent situation is going to be next year, but the Giants will be flush with money and I can't see why they couldn't sign a big bat.

So, I know for some honors classes, UCs give the AP GPA boost, but I'm not sure if that is the case if taken sophomore year.

The Giants have just acquired Orlando Cabrera from the Indians for Thomas Neal, the 96th ranked prospect in the nation by Baseball America. First and foremost, what do you think of the deal? Was it better for the Indians or the Giants? Personally, I think the Indians win on this one, they get a solid hitting prospect for a 36 year-old dried up utility infielder. That being said, how do you think Cabrera will perform offensively and defensively at shortstop, where he will spend most of his time? This deal makes me feel like Sabean is getting desperate trading for a shortstop with the slash line: .244/.277/.321 when he has Miguel Tejada: .242/.274/.334. I'm assuming that he thinks that Cabrera will be a defensive upgrade over Tejada and an offensive upgrade over Crawford.

BQ: Chances of Giants getting Michael Bourn?

I'm looking for a laptop that works well for school work, meaning that it should be portable and easy to use, but also I would love to play games like Battlefield 3, Rage, Mass Effect 2 and 3 among others. So in other words, what's a laptop that's a portable powerhouse that could run these huge games at least 40 FPS? And, also to add to the difficulty, I would prefer that it stays below $1,500.

So, I'm looking for a gaming headset for my PS3, and I'm looking for a gaming headset that is very comfortable, has good sound, and also has no extraneous noise like buzzing or hissing. So, since both of these headphones are in about the same price range, which one is the better buy?

I'm thinking of getting DMC 4 for PS3 and it's something like $18 on Amazon and thought I might go for it if I don't like Dragon Age 2. Have any of you guys played it and if so what are your opinions?

Currently I have a NSix-One 95 and I like it, but I feel that it's swingweight is too high for me seeing that I'm only 14 years old. I demoed it and I liked it a little better than the Ncode, but I'm not sure if it's enough to spend 250 on two of them. Btw this is my player info, 4.0 NTRP player, western gripped forehand and two handed backhand. My main weapon is my forehand, my backhand is below average and my serve can either be very on of very off. I try to be an agressive baseliner I like feasting off of short balls and hitting passing shots. Should I get it?

Both Wellemeyer and Pucetas are ripping it up during string training. Currently, Pucetas edges Wellemeyer out in the spring training stat department, but Wellemeyer has something that Pucetas doesn't, big league experience. And the Giants sent down Bumgardener, so he's not an option. It looks as though Wellemeyer is going to get the job, but I would like Pucetas to be the #5 starter, he shows a lot of promise. Then you could demote Wellemeyer to a long reliever, and what a fine long reliever he would be.

I have a level 8 thief and I die over and over again when doing the missions. I've heard complaints that combat is too easy, so I must be doing something wrong. I'm currently making air combo launch, aerial frenzy, double attack, and cutdown. My strategy is either to attack outright or use air combo launch and then follow up with aerial frenzy. But, it's weird because aerial frenzy rarely hits the monsters more than once. It just hits them once and they they fall to the ground. Rarely ever do I get a large combo with it. And bosses absolutely slaughter me. I really want to play this game, but if I'm failing everytime at these missions I don't want to. Help?!

I know that Spring Training doesn't prove much, but does the 7-1 Giants' Spring Training record a sign of things to come?

I was set to get a ATI Radeon 4770HD, but it needs a 400W power supply. I went to gateway.com and realized that my computer only had 220W. Can I still use this video card without side effects? If not, then is there any good video card that my computer could be compatible with?
