Free ride with a 34 ACT?

There are schools in which a 34 ACT combined with an excellent GPA will get you a free ride. It is good that you are looking now because you will want to apply early as the money won't still be there in the spring. Like mentioned previously by another answerer, as far as a single scholarship, most likely given by the university due to grades and/or act score, you probably won't get a full ride anywhere. Luckily with a 34 ACT score, you could probably get several different academic scholarships if you look for them. For example, I got a 31 on my ACT, the scholarship I receive from my university covers ACT scores from 31-36 and is $5250 a semester, which is the highest academic scholarship available, not counting the honors scholarship. It doesn't pay for everything, but because of my grades and ACT score, I also receive a state funded scholarship that's $2500 a semester. Between these two scholarships and pell grant, my classes are paid for and I have money left over. If you get into the honors college at the university you'll probably have to work harder, but your scholarship will most likely be bigger.

I'm not sure if 34 is a free-ride, however, I congratulate you on your high score. I would recommend participating in sports or something next year since that would help with scholarships. The only people I know who got a free-ride to good universities were the smart Hispanic kids of my class. They did sports for four years.
